When Bales Unico decided they wanted a high end supermarket and garden shop that would serve as a neighborhood focal point, they came to LEEKA Architects, formerly STOA / EKA Architects for help. Because of the strong relationship built from years of working together, they felt confident that we would be able to come up with a design that not only had a fresh appearance, but also was functional. We arrived at a solution that included placing the building at one corner of the site, making accessibility easy for patrons, in addition to maximizing outdoor selling space. The exterior promoted a modern feel with a pitched metal roof and a glass sloping dormer. This combination is regionally appropriate and aesthetically pleasing.
